The Church for the Nations seeks to honour and glorify God. Our vision is for humanity to realize the kingdom of God in this present life on earth and the one to come in heaven. The scope of our vision is summarised in the following statements:
- Building God's Kingdom on earth by preaching the Good news and through the support of the work of the Gospel around the world;
- Attaining greater unity among the local churches in Geneva;
- Evangelization in the city of Geneva and its international community;
- Healing the sick and liberating those who are spiritually bound and oppressed; and
- Experiencing the great outpouring of the Spirit of God on all flesh according to God's word by the prophet Joel.
Statement of Faith
We believe that:
- The Bible is the Word of God and that the Holy Scriptures were revealed through the divine inspiration of the Old and New testaments.
- God is spirit; that Jehovah (YHWH) is God of the Old and New Testaments and is the one true God, the creator of heaven and earth, who revealed Himself as the eternally self-existing "I AM" and who further revealed Himself as God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
- The sinfulness of mankind since the fall requires SALVATION by grace through faith in God and redemption through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
- The Lord Jesus Christ, Immanuel, God with us:
- is our Saviour, Redeemer and Lord and is the only way to the one true God and Father of all;
- is the Son of God, the only begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary;
- is the Son of Man as to His human nature, God manifested in the flesh and in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,
- died on the cross as a substitute and perfect sacrifice for our redemption from the penalty of sin which is eternal death;
- was bodily resurrected and sits at the right hand of God as our advocate and intercessor;
- is coming again.
- The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the living God:
- proceeding from the Father and the Son;
- convicting men of sin and preparing the "Body" and "Bride" of Christ, the Church.
- infilling of and empowering believers to be witnesses, and to serve and live holy and victorious lives.
